Salary £31,199 - £35,579 per annum
Grade D Pay Point range 19 - 24
Full time - 37 hours per week
12 Months Fixed Term Contract
Tilbury Library and Hub will soon be extending its opening hours. In this role you will be required to develop an exciting programme of events and activities for our community, where everyone is welcome to explore, learn and grow, focussing on employment opportunities, digital skill improvement, health and well-being, lifelong education, social activities and community cohesion.
Key responsibilities include:
- Co-ordinate and support events which promote and encourage community engagement and building cohesion.
- Improve resident's health and well-being by developing engaging interactive activities that promote employment skills, increase participation in culture and creative activities, literacy, digital literacy and reading for achievement and pleasure.
- Work with the Senior Community Engagement Officer - Outreach and Liaison and staff to initiate and develop partnership working and outreach.
- Assist in the production of performance reports, briefings and bulletins for Members, senior managers, residents, council and external partners.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate exceptional communication skills, have a deep understanding of community needs, and the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
You must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings and be able to travel around the borough.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is not required for this role.
