About Us

The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub is our 'front door' to children's social care and receives all safeguarding referrals for children in Oxfordshire. With the help of our partner agencies, we quickly identify risks to vulnerable children and provide a safe and timely response to decide the most effective interventions.

About the Role

The role of a Social Worker in MASH is animportant one; you will be responsible for undertaking MASH enquiries by using your social work skills to undertake a rapid assessment with family members and professionals over the phone and, with the information provided by partner agencies, you will provide a robust analysis of the child's lived experience to identify the most appropriate response to meet a child's needs.Alongside the wider team and with the guidance of a supportive, permanent management team, you will ensure recommendations are clear, evidence-based and made at pace to ensure our children receive a timely and safe response.

About you

This is a key safeguarding role and therefore you need to be a qualified social worker with Social Work England registration and have successfully completed the ASYE programme. The MASH is a busy, fast-paced environment, and so you need the ability to work under pressure in a busy duty and response environment. Previous experience in a MASH team is desirable but not essential.
