Crynodeb
Job purpose: The Head of Clinical Services provides clinical strategic direction, ensuring the hospital provides excellent patient care delivered in a safe high quality clinical environment in a cost-effective manner. Responsible for providing clinical direction and strong, professional leadership to all clinical staff including nursing, allied health professionals and medical staff either directly employed or working under practising privileges. Support to the clinical leads and their respective departments and being ultimately accountable for the performance of all clinical services. Provide clinical leadership and guidance by ensuring knowledge of clinical and professional developments in accordance with the NMC revalidation process and the HCPC/GPC standards of continuing professional development requirements. As part of the Senior Managment team, the role works with other senior managers to create and deliver the strategic, operational, and a dynamic business development plan for the hospital. Ensuring incidents and complaints are recorded in accordance with Kinvara policy and processes. Investigating and referring all adverse incidents appropriatley and maintaining accurate and factual reports. Ensuring all clinical polices are upto date and reflective of the business. Achievement of audits schelduled and action plans completion. Monitor and manage the Hospital Risk Register. Participation in hospital cover / manager on-call rotas including week nights and weekend shifts where applicable.
