Summary

As a Marketing Manager with Age UK North Tyneside, your key responsibility will be to understand both our internal teams and the older people we serve, while raising awareness of how our products and services meet their needs. You will focus on enhancing Age UK North Tyneside’s brand image as the leading charity and authority on later life, positioning us as the trusted one-stop shop for services supporting older people. A crucial part of your role will involve leading the marketing team in the care sector, driving campaigns that strengthen Age UK North Tyneside’s presence, reputation, and connection with the community.

Responsibilities:

1. To effectively manage and support the Marketing Team and ensure Continuous Professional Development of the team to aid with succession planning.
2. To uphold and demonstrate at all times the values and behaviours of the Group.
3. To work consistently to a high standard and demonstrate continuous improvement in line with the Group’s Quality Assurance Framework.
4. To assess, manage, control and report on risk in line with the Group’s Risk Policy and Framework and to support the Group’s Business Continuity Plan.
5. To enable effective communication across the Group by creating opportunities for meaningful two-way dialogue.
6. To provide accurate and timely management information and reports to the Head of Service.
7. To ensure your service area is subject to regular unannounced internal inspections and audits.
8. To ensure effective networking and liaison with other agencies by participating in relevant meetings and representing the values and policies of the Group.
9. To actively monitor customer satisfaction including feeding this back in a timely and positive manner.
10. To engage positively and regularly with Heads of Service and the Customer Services Team to ensure customer needs and aspirations are reviewed regularly and services adjusted.
11. To support the development and delivery of the organisation’s Campaigns Strategy
12. To ensure high standards of customer service are delivered to both external and internal customers.
13. To support the development and delivery of the organisation’s Communication and Engagement Strategy
14. To support the development and delivery of the organisation’s Marketing Strategy and professional imagery in line with the established corporate direction to promote our brand, culture, and mutual ethos.
15. To create design work using Adobe Creative Cloud with emphasis on InDesign and Premiere Pro.
16. To manage press advertising while building and maintaining strong industry contacts.
17. To ensure that all quality standards are followed and maintained in line with organisational agreed delivery procedures for customer services.
