Crynodeb
The primary role of the post holder is to work within the multi-disciplinary abdominal transplant team and provide expert specialist individual care to patients and their carers during their progression through the transplant process. Coordinate and facilitate the live donor programme in line with the British Transplant Society Standards on live donation. There is strong commitment to education and health promotion as well as a supportive role for the transplant recipients and their families and live donors in the short and long term. The on call responsibility includes the organisation of kidney, renal, liver, pancreas and islet cell transplantation. Representation at National Meetings as Lead Specialist for the Trust. Provides specialist education and training.
