Barts Health NHS Trust has a vision to be a high performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in East London and beyond.
In keeping with the recommendations of the Richards Review of Diagnostics (2020) we are developing a Community Diagnostics Centre (CDC) at Mile End Hospital. The creation of the CDC is part of wider programme to reform and renew the delivery of diagnostics to meet increasing demand for services. CDCs will also facilitate patients having their diagnostic tests performed closer to home and within the local community, will be opened for 12 hours a day over 7 days a week.
We have a very exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Senior Cardiographer role at the Mile End Hospital. The post holder would be accountable to the Head of Cardiorespiratory Physiology and report to the site leadership at Mile End CDC.
The post holder will function independently as a Senior Cardiographer in Cardiology Physiology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills into the cardiorespiratory diagnostics (including spirometry).

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated individual to join Cardiac Diagnostics at the CDC, Mile End Hospital.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic for a Senior Cardiographer to become part of an innovative service at Barts Health NHS Trust. The post holder will be based at the CDC, Mile End and will be required to do some across multiple sites within the Trust.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the non-invasive services at CDC focusing ECG and ambulatory monitor pathways. The service will run 12 hours a day across 7 days, therefore the successful candidate will do 12 hour shifts on any of these days.
The aim role is to support the non-invasive cardiology within the Trust sites, there will be an opportunity to be trained in spirometry and assist in other cardiorespiratory testing.
The post holder will be required to perform foundation level tasks unsupervised and to assist senior staff as required. In addition the post holder may be required to supervise students.
