Crynodeb
The key tasks of the role are:
Examination Management:
Complying with relevant course documentation and in accordance with Joint Service Publication 822 (JSP822), manage, set, and direct appropriate and effective test and assessment methods, for the REME land engineering systems and RAF technical training courses, to provide valid, reliable, and fair evaluation of the transfer of learning against course learning objectives.
Ensure test and assessment materials, examination question banks, marking guides and associated documentation are in appropriate order to continually maintain the validity of assessment activity against training objectives.
Liaise with DSEME Course Design Team staff and Training Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the collaborative production and continued relevancy of Assessment Strategies, Assessment Specifications and assessment methods.
Internal Validation (InVal):
Manage the data collection and evaluate data from end of phase training and facilitate post course discussions with trainees, to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the Training Delivery.
Analyse and investigate trainer/trainee feedback to highlight and escalate areas of concern as required.
Monitor InVal feedback questionnaire completion rates for area(s) of responsibility, promoting and encouraging feedback to continually improve DSEME processes and practices.
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA):
Conduct IQA activity to monitor the quality of assessment judgements and decisions, including invigilation monitoring, to ensure consistent and reliable judgements are made across the school and driving forward quality improvements in assessment practice.
Accreditation:
As EC&IV is an approved centre for various Accreditation organisations. operate within required qualification frameworks, to deliver regulated qualifications, in accordance with set standards and quality assurance requirements.
Leadership/Management:
Being accountable to the DSEME Head of EC&IV: Where required, direct day to day line management and career development of Civil Service staff working under your line management.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
