Our Client, a hugely successful family business producing dairy products, has opportunities available for Cheese Makers in their Cowdenbeath site.

Successful Cheese Makers will benefit from:

Long term work opportunities, initially working on an agency contract basis however providing standards are met these positions are expected to lead to permanent contracts
Steady hours working 5 days out of 7 6am - 2.30pm - 2pm - 10.30pm rotating
Night shifts hours: Sunday- Thursday 9:30 pm - 6am
A starting pay rate of £11.70 ph while in training and £13.70 ph following completion for days
A starting pay rate of £12.70 ph while in training and £14.70 ph following completion for nights
Overtime paid at 1.5x standard rate above contracted hours
Weekly attendance bonus £20
Training within a supportive environment

As a Cheese Maker you will work within the production team to produce high quality cheese products according to customer standards and requirements.

Key tasks include although are not limited to:

The supervision and allocation of tasks for packers as well as regular communication with process operators with regards to tank filling
The production of soft cheese in accordance with work instructions
Accurate and timely completion of production logs
The testing of products in accordance with work instructions
CIP and manual cleaning and the completion of these logs
Timely reporting of all equipment faults to engineering staff
Ensuring any wastage is handled appropriately and company procedures are adhered to
Maintaining product quality and hygiene standards
We would love to hear from experienced Production or Machine Operatives who:

Have a Food Hygiene certificate
Display good people management skills
Have a degree of physical capability to be able to work within a role where manual handling is involved
Are numerate, with good communication skills
Ideally have an understanding of the dairy industry however this is not essential
