Menzies are looking for a motivated Shunter / Pump & Hose Wash Operator to join our dynamic team at our Banbury (Twyford) site. The primary responsibility is to shunt trailers to and from customer sites on a daily basis. This role also involves performing regular checks and maintaining yard cleanliness, as well as assisting with washing the back end of tankers when required.

The Details:

    • Salary: £37,969k Per Annum
    • Shift: Monday to Friday
    • Hours: 09:00 - 18:00 or 10:00 - 20:00
    • Holiday Entitlement: 28 days (including bank holidays)
    • Parking: Onsite
    • Pay: Monthly

    Key Duties and Accountabilities (will include but not be limited to)

      • Safely load and unload tankers, following all site procedures and ensuring compliance with all documentation.
      • Ensure tanker loads are safe, secure, and correctly positioned for transit.
      • Maintain constant communication with the Traffic Office regarding requirements and any issues.
      • Conduct yard checks upon request to ensure safety and cleanliness.
      • Maintain the yard in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
      • Use all equipment safely as specified in operating procedures for vehicle/tanker cleanliness.
      • Assist with washing the back end of tankers, working collaboratively with a colleague.
      • Comply with safe working practices at all times.
      • Operate your vehicle safely, ensuring actions do not endanger self or other site/road users.
      • Undertake any other reasonable job instruction to support the supply of a quality service to the customer.

      Key Experience and Qualifications:

        • Previous experience in a shunting role preferred.
        • HGV Class 1 Licence (No more than 6 points).
