Please note this project is currently funded until 31 March 2025. Although we hope to secure funding it can not be guaranteed.

We are recruiting a highly motivated Refugee Integration Caseworker to work as part of a small team to support newly recognised refugees in Hull, including those arriving under Home Office Schemes, such as Homes for Ukraine.

The job holder will need to be highly organised and able to work on their own initiative to provide information, advice and guidance to refugees and their families, especially those in housing and financial need.

Some of the advice is delivered by appointment at the office (currently in the city centre) however most of the advice is delivered at community venues and home visits with an element of lone working.

As well as a commitment to excellent customer service, it is essential that you can demonstrate how you meet all of the person specification. Below is a sample of some of the key attributes required for the Caseworker role:

Proactively engage with newly recognised refugees, including those arriving from Ukraine, at the earliest opportunity to co-produce an integration plan which clearly identifies the client’s goals and the actions that are to be taken to achieve them. To review progress against this plan.
Keep excellent records including caseworker activity on a digital client database in a timely manner, always ensuring accuracy.
Experience of multi-agency and partnership working to ensure the client’s needs are identified, planned and met through collaborative working.

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Julie Bateman on either 01482 614265 or Julie.bateman@hullcc.gov.uk
