Senior Clinical Fellow in Medicine – ST4 level in Department of Medicine for the Elderly

Are you at a crossroads in your career?

Are you looking for more clinical experience before Internal Medicine stage 2 training in Medicine?

Do you need training in Geriatrics to complete the ‘Alternative Certificate’ ready for Internal Medicine stage 2 applications?

Keen to gain more experience in Medicine with a friendly team that is interested in your development as a doctor before deciding on your next career move?

Would you like to spend one day per week dedicated to training opportunities such as specialist clinics or completing Quality Improvement Projects?

University Hospital of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic doctors to join their Trust at middle grade level. A busy, progressive, forward thinking hospital, rated 'Good' by the CQC in 2019, we invite you to join the medical team at Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton.

We would like to offer you opportunities in bone health, falls and general DME to increase your out-patient experience, build upon the skills you already have and work in our busy yet friendly department.

Support and training will be available.

You will receive supervision, access to an Eportfolio and be encouraged to join the established teaching programmes. We can offer PACES training if needed and where possible, offer opportunities to complete the ‘alternative certificate’ ready for higher training applications.

You will have £500 and five days (pro rata) for study leave and subject to individual requirements. We will perform your annual appraisal.

The postholders will either be based at the RDH or QHB sites, or rotate across both.
