Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cybertots at Acton Gardens. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals and snacks to our children, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. If you are passionate about food safety, child nutrition, and working in a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of meals and snacks according to the nursery’s dietary guidelines.
Ensure kitchen hygiene by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and organizing kitchen equipment.
Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food storage and handling.
Monitor inventory and assist in the ordering and stocking of supplies.
Work collaboratively with the kitchen staff and other team members.
Ensure all meals meet the dietary and allergy requirements of the children.
Housekeeping including laundry of bedding and other nursery items.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
Knowledge of basic food preparation and hygiene practices.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of food safety standards.
Flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move kitchen equipment and supplies.
Capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Good knowledge of English language
