The Opportunity:
The University of Edinburgh’s Centre for Pesticide Suicide Prevention (CPSP) is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of CPSP Global Strategy. In this role, you will contribute to a £10M research and implementation programme focused on global health and pesticide regulation, providing intellectual leadership for the Centre. You will build and nurture key relationships with UN Agencies, global civil society organisations, and the private sector to drive impactful changes in pesticide regulation, particularly the elimination of Highly Hazardous Pesticides (HHPs) from agriculture. This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic initiatives that will save lives and protect health globally.

This post is fixed term (until 31st August 2027) and full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Your skills and attributes for success:
• Extensive experience in agriculture policy, sustainable development, and global health.
• Proven ability to engage with UN bodies and international frameworks related to pesticide regulation.
• Strong strategic leadership and relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate complex policy landscapes.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with high-level stakeholders.
• Experience in managing large-scale, multi-country projects with a focus on public health and regulatory initiatives.
