The role
As a CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) Support Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The CAFM Support Team is custodian of the asset maintenance data held within the system. Alongside training users of the system and maintaining system records, the team provides data, reports and analysis to the wider business and MOD customer.

  • Day-to-day, you'll Manage and maintain the company's CAFM system in regard to registered Nuclear Radiological Safety and Non-Safety Asset records.
  • Act as a super user for the CAFM system in order to support all users and represent CAFM Support Team at various forum, working parties and meetings as appropriate
  • Produce, develop, maintain and control maintenance schedules using CAFM system
  • Support the business to comply with contractual and regulatory requirements in making recommendations on work priorities, conflicting maintenance issues, maintenance approaching maximum tolerance date, process changes and strategies, and with, as appropriate, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Supervisors and the Design Authority.
  • Using the Crystal reporting tool, support business reporting needs for all CAFM stakeholders, including, but not only to comply with contracted key performance indicators
  • Deliver and sustain exceptional customer service to all CAFM users with regards to support requests for instance with training, data requests, maintenance planning, re-scheduling, job-plan updates or work order cancellation


This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the CAFM Support Engineer

  • Conversant in the use of the main MS Office applications specifically MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience of computer-aided facilities management systems or database/software records maintenance and management - Highly Desirable
  • Experience of Crystal reporting and SQR - Crystal info report writer - Desirable
  • Experience of delivering training, particularly systems training to users/students - Desirable
  • Knowledge of using and updating SharePoint, creation and data based aspects - Desirable


Qualifications for the CAFM Support Engineer

  • Educated to Level 3 in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) e.g. A Level or equivalent.
