Location: Somerset ( visiting services around Somerset)

You will utilize the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) within a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver behavioral support in residential services for individuals with challenging behaviors.

  • Conduct behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and interpret the findings.
  • Develop and implement effective assessment and intervention strategies.
  • Create and revise PBS plans following best practice guidelines, involving the individual and their broader support team.
  • Collaborate with service users, staff teams, and external professionals.
  • Offer behavioral advice, guidance, and consultation to support staff and other professionals.
  • Communicate information in a professional and sensitive manner.
  • Handle complex and sensitive information, including exposure to challenging behaviors and serious offending histories.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Ensure effective communication through strong verbal skills and the preparation of professional reports.
  • Assist in assessing referrals for potential admission to Lightsky Group Limited as appropriate.
  • Manage and document incidents in the incident reporting log, monitoring all reported behavioral incidents.
  • Provide recommendations to managers and staff following incidents.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through training to stay informed about current advancements in PBS.
  • Offer advice, consultation, and training to staff within our services.
  • Maintain connections with local clinicians in similar roles and represent Bradbury House Limited in relevant forums.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Management team to ensure timely interventions are implemented when a service or placement is at risk of failing to prevent negative outcomes.
  • Attend management meetings.
  • Perform other duties that align with the role's objectives and responsibilities.

You must have valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
