We're looking for an Assistant Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team at Co-op. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support the delivery of key pricing reports that will provide a clear view of Co-op Food's price position. You'll be responsible for producing competitor and customer tracking reports and providing valuable insights into data and pricing movements.
If you're interested in retail pricing and are looking to develop your skills to use data to drive decision-making, we can offer you an exciting opportunity to be part of an evolving pricing strategy here at Co-op.
What you'll do
- Drive insights by generating weekly competitor and customer price tracking reports, revealing key market trends, and pricing shifts to keep us ahead of the competition
- Support decision-making by providing critical data and analysis that supports the team in developing forward-thinking pricing strategies
- Look for opportunities where we can optimise reporting systems for faster, more efficient results
- Become a pricing expert through training and supporting the trading team
- Maintain accuracy by making sure the pricing team controls and processes are fully compliant
- Support innovative pricing projects, including electronic shelf labels, and shaping new, creative pricing strategies that set industry trends
- Collaborate with the Pricing Manager on strategic projects beyond business-as-usual processes
This role would suit people who have
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to pull data and put it in a clear format
- An awareness of retail pricing
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to present data to internal colleagues
- The ability to look at how we can improve our processes and make recommendations to impact the way we do things
- The ability to manage multiple priorities, and succeed in a fast-paced environment
Why Co-op?
If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).
- An annual bonus (based on personal and business performance)
- 28 days holiday (rising to 32 with service) plus bank holidays
- A pension with up to 10% employer contributions
- Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
- Coaching and training to support your career development
- Wagestream app - giving you access to a percentage of your pay as you earn
