We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and creative practitioner to join our inspiring Technology faculty. The successful candidate will be able to teach Food & Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and 4 and ideally at least one other area of the Technology faculty (Art, Textiles, Product Design or Graphics) to at least Key Stage 3. This role is to cover Maternity, full time or 0.8 from November 2024 to July 2025.
Alderman White School is a friendly, thriving and stimulating place to work and study. Our students are well-behaved and motivated. We have excellent support from parents and the community, and a talented and positive staff team. We are ambitious for every student and provide high-quality pastoral care and support, as well as outstanding enrichment opportunities for our students and the local community.
Staff wellbeing and development is very important to us – we offer a strong sense of community, high quality staffroom facilities and a carefully tailored staff development programme, centralised behaviour system, feedback policy which takes account of workload, and access to health services through the Schools Advisory Service. PPA time is above the statutory requirement and can be taken off site.
Our membership of the White Hills Park Trust, a small local Trust of diverse schools with a common ethos and values, provides excellent opportunities for further professional development and networking.
The school is conveniently located 5 minutes from Junction 25 of the M1, close to the A52, as well as tram and bus routes, in a suburban area close to Nottingham University.
Additional Information about our School and Trust can be found at https://aldermanwhite.school
If you would like to arrange to visit the school or to have a discussion about the role, please contact Heather Crofts, School Administrator, on 0115 9170424 or at white@whptrust.org
Applications for the post must be submitted by 9.00 am on Thursday 3 October via our online application form, which can be found at Vacancies (whptrust.org). In the additional information section please outline why you are a good fit for our school and this role (maximum 1500 words).

All posts are subject to safeguarding responsibilities (relevant to the role), including the duty to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people, and to adhere to the Trust’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. References will be called prior to interview and online searches may be carried out on shortlisted candidates as part of due diligence checks. It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).
