Senior Stores Operatives
We are seeking a skilled Senior Stores Technician to join our team to help deliver scientific services by facilitating the smooth arrival and dispatch of goods and the disposal of waste. This role involves manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
• Action receipt of incoming goods (including hazardous chemicals), and the delivery of consumables, chemicals and solvents around the site
• Deliver efficient goods-in and goods-out processes, including the safe shipment of Dangerous Goods according to ADR and IATA regulations.
• Accountable for organising dispatch of goods, ensuring all paperwork is correct for Customs clearance, and adherence to Shipping regulations.
• Responsible for keeping accurate electronic records of shipments
• Monitor site consumable stock levels and ensure key materials and solvents are available for use when required.
• Ensure compliance with: Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Environmental Protection Act, Classification, packaging and Labelling Regulations, Consent to Discharge and any other relevant legislation.
• Conducts stock takes regularly and maintains accurate inventory records
• Arrange hazardous waste collections and ensure documentation is completed
Ideal Candidate
• Highly organised and detail-orientated
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Experience in managing and maintaining inventory, including receiving, storing, and issuing materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Previous warehouse experience
