Crynodeb
The ideal candidate:
• Will have previous experience with the fabrication of Ductwork.
• Will have the ability to work under pressure and remain flexible with their working hours to ensure targets are met.
• Be able to read and understand construction/manufacture drawings.
• Be punctual and reliable.
Manufacture of Items
• Generally, all items are manufactured from Galvanised steel of 0.8mm to 2mm in thickness.
• All ductwork is manufactured in accordance with DW144 Regulations, unless otherwise stated.
• General machinery consists of Coil-Line, CNC Plasma Cutter, CNC Brake Press, Hydroform folder, Metal Punch, Lockformer, Snaplock Punch & MIG-Welders.
• The majority of Ductwork is programmed from the Office and cut straight from flat sheet using the Plasa cutter, folded into shape using the Brake Press and assembled on a bench.
• A good knowledge of assembly is preferred but training, and correct use of the machinery would be given if required.
• Keep a daily record of time attendance & detailed description of jobs worked on (Timesheet)
Quality Control
• All items manufactured by an individual will have a specific reference number and ticket that must be completed at the start and completion.
• The item is then passed for inspection and approval before being shrink wrapped and placed in the appropriate goods holding area until required for dispatch.
• Training will be given to ensure a high standard is always maintained.
Health & Safety
• A site induction will be mandatory upon the first day of attendance and any risk & method statements relevant to the works, will be discussed in detail before being asked to sign onto the register.
• All works undertaken must be carried out in-line with the Workshop rules and RAMS, copies of which are always available for review.
• Wear the appropriate PPE as itemised in the RAMS.
• If in doubt, STOP the works and seek advice from your supervisor or Line Manager.
• Ensure a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times and any waste materials are placed in the designated Skip for disposal. All waste materials should be removed promptly and a thorough clean carried out at the end of each working shift.
