Nursery Staff Horticultural
Full & Part Time Hours Monday to Friday
Temporary Contract
Our business is looking for people who enjoy working with and learning about plants in a nursery. Machine potting, plant maintenance and dispatching are just some of the varied jobs you will be doing each day. This high turnover business produces many, many plants for garden centres across the country.
Heavy lifting will be required, physical job, needs to be strong and able to lift. Able to get to the Nursery due to its rural location.
Do you enjoy working with plants and working amongst a great team of others who do?
Do you enjoy both dextrous and physical outdoor work?
This is a temporary position with a view to become permanent.
Onsite car parking
Skills required:
• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Team player.
• Excellent customer service skills.
Duties will include:
• Repot growing plants so they have enough room
• Choose the appropriate soil for new plants
• Water and trim plants and shrubs as they grow
• Transport plants to other selling locations
• Provide advice to clients about which plants to buy
• Organize plants by type and season in the store
• Unpack additional plants and accessories
• General nursery work
