Brook Street is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Officer to join the team at Newcastle Law Court. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to the smooth operation of a busy court setting.

Role Overview: As an Administrative Officer, you will be an integral part of the court's administrative team, handling a variety of tasks to support daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with the public effectively and professionally
  • Opening and dispatching mail
  • Preparing and checking documents and files
  • Photocopying and filing
  • Data entry and record maintenance on our in-house computer system
  • Adapting to various general office duties as requested by line management

Key Requirements: We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Possesses fast and accurate data entry skills
  • Has strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
  • Communicates clearly and professionally, delivering exceptional customer service
  • Holds 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, or equivalent qualifications

Working Hours and Pay:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
  • Pay: £11.59 per hour

Contract Details: This role is initially offered as a 6 month assignment with possibility of extension but guaranteed.
