Summary

IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support)

Location: Bournemouth

Salary: £25,000 -£30,000 (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday 09.00-17.30pm

Our client is an expanding IT company transitioning into a Managed Service Provider (MSP). As they continue to grow, they are looking for a proactive and innovative IT Support Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting their growth, providing essential first and second-line support to clients. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of applications, services, and hardware, while working with clients across diverse industries in a dynamic and fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities of the IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support):

• Deliver first and second-line technical support to a diverse range of clients.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and overall IT infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Assist with network troubleshooting, including cable management and testing.
• Work closely with the team to ensure seamless service delivery and successful project execution.

Requirements of the IT Support Technician (1st & 2nd Line Support):

• A valid DBS clearance
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and service deployment, including SharePoint, security, and Azure.
• Being physically capable of moving equipment manually if needed.
• Strong network and cable management skills, including patching, tracing, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell and scripting for automation and administrative tasks.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to both clients and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
• Self-motivated, able to take initiative and manage tasks independently.
• Skilled in prioritising tasks and effectively handling issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Hold a full Clean UK driving licence (or legal UK driving eligibility).
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a passion for IT support.
