Summary
Transport Manager urgently required for busy transport company based in Burton On Trent.
As Transport Manager you will ensure the effective operation of the transport function, driving continuous improvements and further developing integrated transport solutions to deliver a premium and cost effective, compliant transport function.
• Salary 40 – 50k DOE
• Monday – Friday
• Rotational on-call
• Overseeing fleet of 20 HGV + vans
Key Responsibilities
• Transport Compliance
• Managing a team of planners and supervisors
• Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe secure, clean and fair work environment for all transport team members
• Health, safety and security procedures
• Manage and motivate your team in order to reach their full potential
• Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy
• CPC qualification
• An effective communicator at all levels - verbal and written
• Commercially focused, with budget, cost, and KPI management experience
