The job for Consultant Psychiatrist in the Mental Health Core Team offers considerable scope to work creatively and with flexibility. The multi-disciplinary team has introduced new posts such as Peer Coaches, Population Health Nurses, and Voluntary Sector colleagues. This enables an expansion of the social dimension of care, supporting people to expand structured meaningful activities and make links to community-based groups and activities. All team members are encouraged to take a holistic approach to their work, working with patients to help bring meaning to their struggles and life experiences, bearing in mind the impact of trauma and social precariousness.
