Our award-winning Finance team have recently implemented a significant upgrade of the LSTM's finance system, to a new SaaS system. The purpose of this upgrade was to streamline processes across the organisation, allowing for better analytics, which will ultimately support the strategic decision making process.
We have so far rolled this out to the UK and Zimbabwe offices, and have plans to go live in the Kenya office in the new year. To support with the implementation and embedding of the system and continue the success of the project, we have created a brand-new opportunity for an experienced Finance System Specialist to join the team.
The Finance System Specialist will focus on proactively maintaining and developing LSTM's finance system and associated software, and work closely with colleagues to troubleshoot and solve complex issues, providing an outstanding service to all system users. The successful candidate will also use data and draw upon expertise to inform and implement system enhancements and developments, which will further improve the overall user experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertake extensive and detailed troubleshooting and testing to investigate system issues, identifying solutions to minimise service disruption.
Day-to-day system support and system administration tasks, ensuring that SLA’s are met, and an outstanding customer service is provided.
Ownership of the development and maintenance of system business processes, understanding stakeholder and operational needs.
Co-ordinate workload and issue prioritisation within the team to reduce risk and provide an excellent customer service.
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance financial processes through system improvements and automation.
Create an established feedback process gathering and analysing data to establish a development of work.
Foster excellent business relationships with colleagues, suppliers and system users to enhance user experience.
Work alongside the Finance Systems Manager to plan and deliver an accessible training schedule for the LSTM group.
We are looking for a solution-focused individual with the technical and communication skills to lead change effectively. The successful candidate will ideally bring the following:
Experience of maintaining and developing systems.
Proven experience in administering and optimising integrated systems.
Demonstrable experience of effectively troubleshooting, taking ownership for issues until resolution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience of working with finance systems, and knowledge of underpinning technical infrastructure of finance systems and how accounts are compiled would be beneficial for this position, however this is not essential.

Flexible working - our preference for this position would be a hybrid model with 2 days per week working on-site however, we are happy to be flexible and we would consider remote working with a minimum of 1 day per month on-site
Retention bonus - There is a retention bonus available for this position up to £2,500. £1,000 would be paid after completion of 12 month in the role, with the remaining £1,500 paid on completion of the 18 month contract
