NELFT’s Kent & Medway All Age Eating Disorders Service (AAEDS) specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and NICE concordant treatment of young people and adults with Eating Disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Otherwise Specified Feeding & Eating Disorders - OSFED and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder - ARFID). An additional pathway is being added to the Service with transformation monies: an Enhanced Care pathway for admission avoidance of young people and adults. AAEDS also offers an Early Intervention in Eating Disorders (FREED) and CYP ARFID pathway.
AAEDS is therefore expanding its multi-disciplinary team and highlights a need for preceptorship roles to train in-house.
