Keys Responsibilities

•To deliver emergency response service for the Client and its passengers/visitors at the Eurotunnel site, which will include rescue services, medical treatment, and potentially a first line basic fire response
•In an emergency, FLOR teams must verify SAFE system has started or take localised control where required
•Complete maintenance duties, monitor and report activities as required by the Client in the specified timelines
•Monitor, inspect and maintain equipment in line with Client requirements
•Liasing with the Emergency Centres and Client Control Centres
•Carry out risk prevention activities as defined by the Client
•To be responsible for protecting and securing customer assets at Eurotunnel
•In case of emergency, verification that the evacuation has been completed or assist train crew with evacuation if still underway
•Carrying out searches in the tunnel with direct and permanent contact with RCC. This could include but are not limited to; odours, smoke, suspicious noises, and personnel not responding to calls.
•Completion of all relevant documentation in accordance with Client requirements
•To participate in Client scenario training exercises
•To understand and comply with all Falck QHSE policy, annual safety improvement plan and procedures
•To interface directly with internal and external customers as Customer focus is a key activity
•To interface with external emergency services, regulatory authorities, and local community during daily activities or during an emergency
•A flexible approach to the tasks at hand, this will also include flexibility when rest periods need to be modified due to external constraints and where a recall to duty is required
•Ability to deliver confined space rescue
•Ability to work at height
•Ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure in emergency scenarios.
•The ability to influence and communicate with others at all levels.
•Ability to work within limited supervision; to make decisions and use own initiative and to maintain high standards of self and others.
•Ability to deal with sensitive & confidential matters as necessary.
•Ensure high levels of data protection and security at all times.
•This role involves working 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 shift rota.

•Basic French Speaking words and numbers (however lessons will be provided on the key phrases required)

Desirable

•Emergency response experience, including medical, rescue and first line fire responder (Training will be provided, where there is no experience)
