Crynodeb

Are you interested in playing a key role in supporting the organisation and delivery of the University of Bath’s undergraduate scholarship and bursary awards?

About us

The role of Scholarships and Bursaries Officer sits within the Student Support and Safeguarding Department. The team is responsible for the administration, organisation and allocation of funding that primarily supports under-represented students who are progressing into university, as set out in the University of Bath’s Access and Participation Plan. In addition, the team supports the administration of our philanthropic awards in partnership with the Advancement Team.

Working in close liaison with departments across the University, as part of our reporting requirements to the Office for Students, you will be expected to lead the evaluation, analysis and reporting on students who are supported by our bursary and scholarship awards.

About you

You should be a highly organised and efficient individual with an eye for detail and experience of working in a busy environment with competing demands. You will need strong administrative skills and be willing to explore, embrace and implement new technical systems and processes to drive continual improvement within the team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, together with team working skills are essential to the success of the role.

The ability to liaise professionally with a variety of people is essential, together with the ability to understand, interpret and recall legislative and financial award frameworks.

Further information

This is a part-time role, working 18.25 hours per week (0.5 fte).

For an informal discussion about the role please contact Helen Knowles, Scholarships and Bursaries Manager (hk722@bath.ac.uk).
