We are looking for enthusiastic, confident, dynamic and motivated experienced nurses with excellent communication skills and experience of oncology and haematology patients who contribute in maintaining highest standards of care whilst demonstrating effective leadership and providing support.
You are expected to provide ongoing care for Oncology and Haematology patients (including Sickle Cell) in our inpatient wards (Hawthorn or Olive and Hazel). You will be working with the wider multidisciplinary team in supporting patients receiving chemotherapy, radiotherapy and supportive care.
Overview:
We are looking for nurses wishing to develop their leadership skills and come join us on this exciting journey in caring for our Haematology Oncology patients.
All applicants must have NMC registration and experience in Haematology Oncology.
There are currently vacancies on Hawthorn Ward and Olive and Hazel.
These units require a highly skilled workforce and staff will require experience in caring for patients with cancer or sickle cell disease. Staff will learn to care for patients having treatments, and learn the skills to administer chemotherapy. Experience of this will be an advantage but training will be provided.
Hawthorn and Olive & Hazel:
Hawthorn Ward is an inpatient ward (15 beds) and Olive and Hazel are joint wards (26 beds) which will deliver specialist inpatient care for people with cancer and blood malignancies.
Please specify on your application which ward(s) you would like to be placed on, if successful.
