Location: Gloucestershire, UK
Salary: £95-£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
We are currently recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special Educational Needs school in Gloucestershire.
This role involves working with children who have Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), supporting them in a nurturing and safe environment to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support to children with SEN needs in both individual and group settings.
- Create and deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities tailored to each child's specific needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Encourage positive behaviour and offer guidance to help children manage their emotions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
- Monitor and report on children's progress, adjusting teaching methods as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children with SEN needs is essential.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 Teaching Assistant or CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
