An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time, enthusiastic band 3 Phlebotomist to join our CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ Trust.
Based at West Berkshire Community Hospital, you will be working with a team of Phlebotomists. The departments opening hours are Monday to Friday between 07.45-18:30 hrs and on Saturday mornings between 08:00-13:00 hrs. We are a busy, dynamic department and would like to hear from suitable qualified people.
Interviews will be booked for the 11th September 2024.
You will have had recent phlebotomy experience (minimum 6 months) and are expected to complete our local competency assessments.
This post is 14 hours per week on the following pattern:
• Monday- 1400hrs to 18:30hrs
• Tuesday- 1400hrs to 1830hrs.
• Saturday- 0800 – 1300.
• Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample.
• Ensure safe collection of blood samples according to agreedprocedures.
• Ensureappropriateandaccuratelabelling and dispatch specimens to laboratories.
• To answer the telephone and deal with calls politely and efficiently
