Tue, 24 Sept 2024We’re looking for an experienced Senior Specialist to join the People Shared Services Team, as a Subject Matter Expert for all things Employee Relations.
As a centre of excellence, the Team are there to create and deliver a highly regarded and expert service that supports a Leader-lead people culture. You’ll be working with leaders and colleagues, promoting diversity and inclusion, ensuring fairness and consistency.

You’ll be joining the People Shared Services Team, consisting of 3 Senior Specialists, 3 Advisors and other Administrators. Colleagues are our customers, we support them right through the employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to the end of their employment. We work closely with line managers across the business as well as various teams across the People Function, such as People Partners, Talent Acquisition and Salaries.

What Will You Be Doing?
Building strong relationships with stakeholders such as, People Partners, Aegis and Union representatives, as well as Shared Service Advisors through coaching and mentoring to support in responding to general queries
Managing complex ER cases, using mediation to facilitate conversations between leaders and colleagues in line with policies and procedures
Update and review relevant policies with any changes
Promoting best practice to leaders and empowering them to make decisions in the best interest of the business, whilst avoiding legal challenges
Leading and supporting on projects and workshops
Overseeing reasonable adjustments for our colleagues with additional requirements, promoting diversity and inclusion across the Society
Utilising MI to understand and measure performance, identifying challenges and trends
What Do We Need From You?
The ability to handle multiple changing priorities, manage complex cases and drive continuous improvement through people projects
An excellent understanding of UK Case Law and Employment Tribunal process
Experience in developing effective relationships with the business, influencing and challenging leaders, senior leaders and other stakeholders
An understanding of the Partnering model in relation to managing Employee Relations
