Are you a data-driven professional passionate about healthcare? The Yorkshire Ambulance Service is recruiting for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to deliver data insights that drive decision-making and improve patient outcomes. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, using your expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation to translate complex data into actionable insight. You'll play a crucial part in optimising our services, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting key initiatives that impact patient outcomes.
This role is for 12 months fixed term while another senior analyst is seconded to a different project. It may lead to a full time position in the future depending on funding at the time. It can be remote or in the office at Wakefield. If you are intending to work remotely then you may be required from time to time to visit the office. Unlikely to be more than once every 2 weeks.

• Lead specific Trust analytical projects specifically associated with improving performance through the use of intelligent information across all service lines within the Trust.
• Strong inter-personal skills required with the ability to explain and present reports to a wide ranging audience.
• Investigate complex requirements; provide assistance and advice as required on all information issues.
• Responsible for tracking data, extracting, and analysing data produced and make recommendations for service improvements.
• Provide advice and technical support to the Business Intelligence Team and wider teams
• Link external datasets and analyse own Organisation in the context of the place within the wider NHS or system

• Work effectively as part of the Business Intelligence team and with all staff, working in partnership to achieve Digital objectives and support the delivery of key performance indicators.
• Provide judgements involving highly complex facts or situations, which require the analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options.
• Provide statistical analysis from a variety of Trust applications for a wide range of users both internally and externally in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide and share with the wider ICT team advanced technical and reporting/analysis skill.
• Be responsible for the development of the BI Information system (Analytics System) which covers the whole organisation. This includes the data flow from various other information systems into the data warehouse and out into the reporting Analytics system. This includes data governance and providing a lead role with all aspects of the system.
• Advanced Experience of using Business Intelligence technologies including PowerBI
You must have experience of working with working you own initiative, working with large datasets, data warehouses and have the ability/experience to communicate well across different teams. It's vital that you can demonstrate senior level experience of delivering effective analytics and insight.
You will need at least 2 years of working within a Business Intelligence role.
