You will work within the Private Office, Governance & Strategy Team, which is a small, friendly team in the Human Resources and Organisational Design Directorate. The team’s purpose is to work closely with the HR Director, HR Executive Team, and HR’s Senior Leadership to empower the HR function to deliver its critical services and achieve its strategic commitments.

The role of the HR Strategy and Governance Manager is a varied one, with the successful candidate leading on aspects of HR’s internal governance & assurance controls, contributing to our strategic planning and delivery, and providing expert analysis across our wide portfolio. The post holder will have the autonomy to decide how they approach different tasks to deliver their work.

  • Support the delivery, and continuous improvement, of HR's internal Governance and Strategy processes.
  • Support the HR Strategy and Governance lead to respond and complete commissions relating to HR's governance, assurance, portfolio and strategies.
  • Lead on discrete projects, working across our People Strategy, Business Planning and BAU portfolios, as well as entirely new projects as they arise.
  • Lead on ensuring that HR satisfy our commitments in the areas of Risk, Audit and Information Asset Management.
  • Work alongside HR’s Executive team to ensure we adhere to our financial forecast commitments. Be alert to changing priorities and being able to provide last minute support to the function.
