The opportunity:
Linc Cymru are offering the opportunity to join our team at Ty Coch Nursing Home, Cardiff as an Activities Coordinator. We have two, 15 hours roles available. The position is every Wednesday and Friday, daytime shifts, with no evening work (unless on rare occasions if specific events or activities require this).
These roles are perfect for anyone who would like a role that can be worked around other commitments.
The role of Activities Coordinator will involve planning and delivering a range of group and individual activities within our nursing home. This role is perfect for someone who has a natural flare for encouraging residents, and sometimes their family and friends too, to join in with the fun and games!
What we need from you:
- Proven experience in delivering a range of group and individual activities within a person-centred environment.
- Ability to lead and influence other team members, residence and family members during activities.
- Evaluate the competencies of residents to effectively cater for different individuals needs and care plans, whilst working closely with residents, staff and external organisations to do so.
- To assist in the evaluation of activities with a focus on trying to improve resident selfcare and wellbeing.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills, ability to communicate plans and information to other colleagues and residents.
- To support and enable residents to access social networks, social activities and personal interests, according to policy and procedures.
- The ability to deliver efficiently and within budget.
