This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team! The role is extremely varied and involves a great deal of senior stakeholder engagement across the Agency, so you’ll have the opportunity to build positive working relationships and gain a unique overview of all areas within Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA).
As a Lead Analyst you will oversee and lead the analysis of data provided to the Operational Areas of the Operations and Customer Service Directorate (OCSD). You’ll be required to lead a team of analysts to provide Management Information (MI), analysis and advice to meet the required output for the business needs.
This includes managing and monitoring business as usual (BAU) Management Information processes including dissemination of daily, weekly, and monthly reports to ensure the OCSD business areas meet their aims and objectives and support the refinement and improvement of business processes.
You will liaise regularly with Senior Analytical Leaders to support the preparation and presentation of operational performance data.
You will also be leading, managing, and mentoring a team of performance analysts to drive improvements in practice, ensure quality analysis of performance standards, to achieve business objectives and meet Key Performance Indicators.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Gathering and interrogating data, preparing complex responses, reports and papers appropriate to the audience
- Building and managing effective working relationships with key stakeholders including Head of Groups within OCSD, training coordinators, OCSD recruitment and other coordination unit managers to support supply and demand forecasting
- Managing directorates’ BAU Management Information including (but not limited to) operational business performance with agreed procedures. Resolving queries regarding the Team’s outputs and presenting findings to relevant stakeholders
- Continuously developing analytical knowledge and supporting Team Leaders, utilising multiple sources. Sharing data modelling methods and practices across departments and use of best practice across all capabilities identified for data analysts
- Effectively managing and leading your team, taking responsibility and accountability for performance outcomes
