Neway is looking for an Allocations & Lettings Officer to join our client based with Redbridge Council.
Location: Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Greater London, IG1 1NY
Start Date: asap
Hours per Week: 36
Pay Rates:
PAYE: £20.00 per hour
Limited/Umbrella: £25.13 per hour
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
About the Role: Redbridge Council is seeking two dedicated and experienced Allocations & Lettings Officers to join the Housing Group for a 12-week temporary project. This role plays a critical part in delivering housing services, ensuring that properties are allocated efficiently and in line with the Council's policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the allocations and lettings of properties within Redbridge Council’s housing portfolio.
Liaise with applicants, tenants, and external partners to ensure the smooth running of the lettings process.
Assess housing applications in accordance with the Council's policies and legislative requirements.
Work closely with the Housing Supply Team to identify suitable properties for applicants.
Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving any issues related to housing allocations.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Council procedures.
Key Skills and Experience:
Previous experience in housing allocations and lettings, ideally within a local authority setting.
Strong understanding of housing legislation and policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and manage a busy workload.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
