Laboratory Technician

EGGER UK in Hexham is looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician. In this role you will carry out routine tasks accurately to include sampling, testing, measuring and analysing results by following strict methodologies in order to comply with the general requirements for the relevant product. The role will also develop to assist Campact Limited with analysing the resin and derived products to ensure quality is inline with Group standards.

Please note that interviews for this role will be scheduled for January 2024.

Your Tasks
- Operate as part of the Quality Laboratory team and ensure that the department is maintained in a clean, tidy and organised condition at all times.
- Cut up and prepare particleboard and Melamine Faced Board samples
- Complete and accurately record the analysis of particleboard and derived products.
- Assist with the analysis of resin/raw chemical materials and to provide reliable and precise data for helping to control the manufacturing processes at Campact Limited.
- Analyse environmental samples from the emissions cleaning processes, bore holes and from the river outlets to ensure that legal and internal compliance is managed and maintained.
- Maintain an orderly administrative section for the department, including maintaining analysis data base.
- Ensure that the operation and related tasks are conducted in a safe working manner and that any incidents or accidents and hazards are duly reported.

Our Requirements
- Relevant work experience in a laboratory or a nationally recognised scientific qualification.
- Intermediate standard of IT skills including competent use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel).
- Health & safety is an important part of your working focus.
