We have a full-time, permanent role available in our friendly Digital and Academic Skills Team within the Skills Centre.
You will work with Digital and Academic Skills Course Leaders and the Digital Projects Manager to support academic colleagues and Centre staff to embed sustainable blended teaching and learning practices into the curriculum, reflecting emerging trends and developments in higher education.
Our ideal applicant will possess:
* Excellent digital skills, ideally including a knowledge of university systems and processes
* Knowledge of appropriate learning design and digital pedagogies
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to communicate confidently with different types of stakeholders
* Experience in supporting staff in learning and teaching at university level
Our team will guide you as you work closely with academic staff to provide pedagogic and practical advice on the Bath approach to blended teaching.
About us
The Skills Centre is a central service providing skills development opportunities to the University’s student community, through embedded provision within academic programmes and extra-curricular activities. We have around 70 staff, 50 permanent and 20 casual within the Centre and are a warm, friendly group of staff, highly collaborative in the way we work. We work closely with academic staff and students alike to add value to the student learning experience. We pride ourselves on working flexibly to find innovative and high-quality solutions to ensure we meet the needs of the academic community successfully.
Our campus is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and the City of Bath with its historic charm and social activity only a short distance away creates an excellent environment in which to work.
Further information
This is a full-time role of 36.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE) available from September 2024.
Both regular and flexible working patterns can be considered. The Centre is embracing hybrid working and the expectation is that you will work a minimum of three days on campus with the option of working the remainder from home.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Kirsty Morlese, Digital Projects Manager, klm65@bath.ac.uk. All applications should be submitted through the university website.
