Our Orwell Repairs Service are looking for a Plumbing Apprentice to assist the Multiskilled team!

The purpose of this post is to combine practical on-the-job training enabling the post holder to gather and demonstrate a broad set of skills and combine this with studying for a recognised qualification. The post holder will undertake a Plumbing Apprenticeship Course with Suffolk New College.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in the day-to-day work of the team.
  • Be fully conversant in Orwell's system for prioritising repairs and to assist to ensure works orders are within the specified completion timescales.
  • Study for a recognised qualification.
  • Understand and comply with Orwell's Health & Safety policy, and to carry out activities in a safe manner.
  • Liaise daily with the logistics team in regard to diary commitments for each day.
  • Actively engage in learning how to use equipment required correctly and safely such as hand tools, power tools and any other equipment as required.

  • Have good communication skills including verbal and written

As this is a training focused employment opportunity, qualifications are not considered necessary, and completion of GCSE English and/or Maths will be provided as part of the apprenticeship (if required)
