We are currently recruiting for an Internal Controls Assistant Manager based in the Group Internal Audit team (GIA). This is a fantastic opportunity to join Mitie's GIA team in the UK. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Internal Controls and Director of Internal Audit, you will coordinate and assist in developing and embedding internal controls framework combined with rolling out UK Corporate Governance Reform 2023 across Mitie.
Role Responsibility
-Rolling out the anticipated ‘UK S0x' Compliance Program across Mitie driven from UK Corporate Governance Reform 2023.
-Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and continually improve the value delivery of the ‘UK SOX' Compliance Program and improve the delivery of accounting policies and guidelines
-Documentation of financial and operational processes and identification of risks in such processes.
-Document walkthroughs and test results in form of workpapers and give support for an informed, objective opinion of the risk exposure.
-Documentation of RACM (Risks and Controls Matrix).
-Develop an effective plan for remediation
-Keeping up-to-date with regulations, inform the business of changes when relevant and respond accordingly.
Requirements
-Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
-Experience of using S0x methodology
-Experience as external auditor or internal auditor in accounting firm or similar
-Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
-Creative and flexible, with ability to understand business constraints and requirements
-Team player
-Knowledge of risks, processes, and internal controls within main process areas of Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Reporting.
-Knowledge of UK and international accounting standards (IFRS)
