Overview
NetPMD Design & Integration is seeking a CAD Technician - Fibre Networks Designer with experience in creating detailed prints and construction packs for Fibre to the home (FTTH) designs. This role is office-based in Oswestry, Shropshire. Salary is dependent on experience and pro rata for the course of the contract duration. The contract is initially for 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare detailed CAD drawings as part of construction packs for FTTH network deployments.
- Produce key deliverables, such as Permitting Construction Packs, Splicing Schematics, Straight Line Diagrams (SLDs), Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Ensure all drawings meet the necessary specifications for permitting, regulatory compliance, and construction standards.
- Collaborate with network designers to ensure accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports required for regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in CAD drafting, specifically for telecommunications or fibre network projects.
- Familiarity with producing and managing SLDs, BOMs, and other relevant permitting documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or AutoCAD MAP 3D and similar CAD tools.
- Experience with USA permitting processes and standards is a bonus, but training will be provided if your experience is in another locality.
- Must be able to work from our Oswestry office.
