Job Title: Experienced Support Worker
Location: Harlow, Essex
Salary: Dependant on experience
Full-time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Overview:
We are a small business based in Hastingwood ,Harlow, Essex, seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. You will play a vital role in supporting young people to achieve greater independence, assisting with their health, education, and daily living needs. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage conflicting demands, and a dedication to helping vulnerable individuals.
At Supportworks, we are committed to providing safe and supportive accommodation for individuals aged sixteen and above, firmly believing that everyone deserves a home. Our aim is to create a secure and nurturing environment where individuals receive the support to enhance their independence and lead fulfilling lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support: You will manage a caseload of young people, providing tailored support to help them access education, healthcare, and local services. This includes offering advice, guidance, and referrals to specialised services as needed.
- Collaboration: You will work closely with Social Workers and internal colleagues and attend relevant meetings to ensure a coordinated approach to support.
- Record Keeping: You will be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support the compilation of monthly reports, weekly logs and other documentation relevant to your caseload.
- Home Maintenance: You’ll assist in maintaining a safe and supportive living environment for our service users.
Candidate Requirements:
- Support Work experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient IT skills for managing records and other administrative tasks, to include Excel, Word, SharePoint.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance face-to-face client work with administrative duties.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries.
- Capable of initiating and maintaining constructive relationships with clients, colleagues, and professionals from diverse backgrounds.
- Qualifications in Social Care or similar would be desirable.
Additional Requirements:
- Full driving license and access to your own vehicle (petrol allowance provided).
- You will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Full training will be provided.
