Mitie - Care & Custody are recruiting for a Security Operations Support Duty Manager
Salary is £35,000 full time Monday to Friday
The role is based at Manston STHF and you will be responsible for the day-to-day overseeing of Security operations and reporting directly to the Site Security Manager and you must be willing, and able, to pass DBS & Vetting up to Counter Terrorism Level (CTC).
You will protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes and be the first point of contact for the Security team and deal with day-to-day matters such as standards of dress, discipline, and conduct are met and adhered to.
As the Security Operations Support Duty Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
-Attend Stakeholder Meetings.
-Liaise with the Resource Team to ensure contractual requirements are fulfilled.
-Monitor non-effective including absence, ensure adherence to company policies.
-Undertake Compliance and Security audits in partnership with the Manston Compliance team.
-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.
-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.
-Assist in on-going training ensure new Operations Support officers are fully trained and inducted to the site procedures and policies including CCTV, access control systems, deliveries and removals, fire alarms and intruder alarm.
-Ensure that any important messages are conveyed in the Security Handover and that all personnel read and acknowledge them.
-Ensuring security records and logs are being kept up to date.
Essential Person Specification includes:
-You must be willing to be part of a dynamic, professional team supporting multiple stakeholders on a high-profile site.
-Undertake and pass vetting and CTC screening (including meeting 5 years checkable work history and 3-year Minimum Residency Criteria)
-Previous experience of working in a custodial or security environment
-Clear Communicator: Both verbal and written English of a high standard
-Basic-Intermediate IT Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
-Ability to communicate and influence operational staff and Management.
-Reliability, self- motivation, and ability to use own initiative and work without supervision Strong planning / time management / prioritisation skills
-The ability to solve problems, make decisions and prioritise.
-Flexible approach to work to suit the business needs.
