Student Welfare Officer 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) Support Staff Scale Point 26 (£25,903 FTE/£22,266 Actual) Are you someone who is passionate about supporting young people to achieve their best outcomes? We are currently seeking a highly experienced professional to enhance our Student Services Team. This role involves fostering student welfare with a dedicated and reliable approach. We require a dynamic candidate who excels in adaptability, proficiency, and innovation—someone who thrives in an active, ever-evolving environment where adaptability is key. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities: • Empathic, with clear boundaries, acting as a role model to students in some of their most difficult times • Demonstrates exceptional commitment and excellence in all facets of college life • Has expert problem-solving skills to assist students with complex challenges that may disrupt students’ academic journey • Boasts a proven history of exemplary performance in roles requiring intensive pastoral care Additionally, it would be advantageous if candidates have: • An energetic and proactive approach with extraordinary organisational skills • Expertise in Safeguarding and Prevent strategies • At least Grade C in English and Math or equivalent qualifications Previous experience in working with young people is required.
