Job Title: Assistant estimator/project manager

Remuneration: £Competitive + Discretionary Bonus

The role of the Assistant Contracts Manager - Concrete Repair and Waterproofing will involve:

• Contracts Manager position promoting a high quality range of concrete repair services / maintenance
• assisting in managing all aspects of: surveying, financial, contractual, programming/planning, leadership and communication
• Having ultimate control over the delivery of multiple complex projects
• Managing pre-contract planning and assisting the estimator
• Maintaining good working knowledge of current contracts, acts, and legislation
• Ensuring company's Health and Safety and Integrated Management Systems (IMS) procedures are complied with
• Managing all projects are completed on time and within budget
• Liaising, negotiating, and meeting clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, and sub-contractors
• Responsible for providing accurate information for regional monthly appraisals and various other reports
• Assisting with the preparation of quality bids, pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and other presentations as required
• Responsible for the recruitment / dismissal off staff for their team

The ideal applicant will already be working in the industry sector as either a trade or supervisory background and want to progress into management/supervisory role - Concrete Repair and waterproofing:
• Must have a proven track record within the contracting market sector
• Ideally an Assistant Contracts Manager/supervisor/site manager in the concrete market sector however would consider other building or groundwork & light civils backgrounds
• Ideally have experience managing the financial elements of a project, budget, materials etc etc
• Ideally will have construction related degree/NVQ
• Ideally have some sort of mentoring experience
• Confident and articulate
• High self confidence
• Wants to take charge and be in control
