About the role
We are looking for a live-in House Manager for our residential scheme at Sandal Hall Mews in Wakefield. This is a part-time, permanent role, working 4 hours per day Monday to Friday.
About the location
To ensure we're delivering the right level of service to our customers; the successful candidate must be able to live on-site in the accommodation provided.
The accommodation is a 2-bedroom flat, with new carpets and blinds.
Sandal Hall Mews, built in 1989, has 63 leasehold properties in the scheme, with a range of Flats & Bungalows for customers over 55.
You will deliver a high quality of service to residents and daily duties include:
- Daily welfare checks on our residents
- Test warden call points and smoke alarms
- Complete a monthly fire inspection of the communal building
- Promptly report and log all maintenance issues/repairs
- Be the first point of contact for residents' enquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date next-of-kin contact details
- Complete all relevant Estates weekly paperwork.
- Attend monthly TBTs and any arranged training sessions.
- Walk the scheme to ensure the scheme grounds are maintained to a good standard.
What we're looking for
Finding the right person to undertake this role is our top priority so we're looking for someone friendly, customer-focused and a good communicator with the ability to resolve practical problems.
You must be self-motivated and highly organised to maintain health & safety and compliance records, with good administration skills and knowledge of Microsoft and other computer packages. A physical ability needed to carry out manual tasks to keep the scheme clean (such as ad hoc tasks like clearing of snow from pathways, litter picking, and refuse removal from communal areas) and the ability to complete minor repairs (e.g. fixing hinges on cupboard doors) is also essential.
