In general, the postholder will be expected to undertake all duties and hold all responsibilities associated with working as a GP in primary care. Manage a caseload and deal with a range of health needs in a primary care setting andEnsure the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. Undertake a variety of duties including consultations and queries (in surgery, telephone and online), home visits, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, referrals and test ordering and review, associated paperwork, reports, correspondence and audits and dealing with them in a timely manner. Making professional autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems and assessing health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems as well as those with ongoing long term conditions Prescribing in accordance with the local formulary Collect data for audit, compliance and target purposes Awareness of, and commitment to, policies and procedures of the practice and standards of good practice as per CQC, GMC, RCGP etc. Commitment to multi disciplinary and general team working The attached job descriptions provides further detail on additional responsibilities in Quality, Health and Safety, Information Governance and Confidentiality, Communication and Equality and Diversity
