Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent  
Location: Aldershot, GU11 2HL and the surrounding area (Up to a 20 mile radius)Working Hours:  40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
Salary: Up to £27,000 dependent on experience

Here at VIVO we currently have an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated Void Maintenance Officer to join the Voids team at Aldershot. Your primary responsibility will be managing all properties in the area that are in void maintenance, and through your work tasks ensure they do not deteriorate or become damaged, and to manage reactive repairs task to address or prevent this.

Reporting to the Void Supervisor, you will be self-scheduling visits to Void Properties from your home, where you will receive your tasks on a PDA and travel to the property using a provided work van. You will be inspecting properties to ensure they are secure, wind and weatherproof and in a good state of repair. You will then write a report of your findings and identify any required maintenance, that will then be reported to your line manager weekly and monthly.

You will also be producing site survey reports when a MoD family is moving out of a property, including making a photographic record of the internal and external condition at the start of the property becoming void maintenance until the property is reoccupied.

As necessary, you may need to install additional locks or security screens to secure a property and may need to adjust or drain down the heating system and water supply to prevent damage to the Void Property.

What you’ll need to do this role

For this role it is ideal that you have previous work experience in Void Maintenance, along with a background in some form of trade.

As this role will require a lot of travel, it is important that you are self-motivated and are happy with lone working most of the time.

This role will be cover multiple estates, so it is essential that you hold a full clean UK driving licence and be willing to cover wider locations to support with annual leave cover when needed.

It is desirable that you have experience of operating within either an MOD or property maintenance environment.

You will need to be able to pass BPSS Clearance to eligible for this role.
