Sunderland Care and Support is seeking to recruit a number of Support Workers, to support in various services within the physical and complex care team. We are looking for someone who can deliver exceptional standards of person-centred care and support to those with a high level of physical and mental health support needs.
The service provides accommodations for adults with physical and mental health needs. We are keen to recruit an individual with integrity, who can help us ensure our company values are at the heart of everything we do.

Your role will be to provide support to customers promoting and developing their life, health, and wellbeing. Contacting customers, families and several MDT, obtaining information and developing care plans to enable the team to provide a person-centred support.
Some day-to-day tasks may include:
Helping with preparation of meals & drinks.
Support with domestic household tasks.
Administering & recording medication
Support with money management.
Encouraging community trips and facilitating customers participation
Support with household & personal shopping.
Support with meeting friends & family.
Support with high standards of nutrition.
Adhere to health & safety legislation.
Cleanliness & intimate personal hygiene
Opportunities for employment or education
Provide emotional support.
Active support techniques & positive behaviour support techniques to increase skill level & achieve set outcomes (training will be provided)
These principal responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of duties, only a general guide to the role. In consultation with the post holder, the duties may change from time to time to reflect the changing needs of the customer/service.

A starting salary of £23,151 (pro rata if working less than 37 hours per week)
Designated rota pattern including daytime, evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays
